Recipe Organizer

Entering your family´s favourite recipes in "The Great Cook" Recipe Manager recipe software program is really easy. Plus, it makes good sense, too. How many times have you made a fabulous gourmet meal and then couldn´t find the scrap of paper that it was scribbled on? Imagine if you had a single place to save recipes to, then finding a recipe would be a cinch. Search for recipes that use a specific ingredient, or simply browse through the library of recipes that you build over time. "The Great Cook" Recipe Manager becomes your treasured family recipe book.

"The Great Cook" Recipe Manager helps you store and retrieve your favourite recipes on this screen.
There are three areas on this screen that you use when entering a recipe and they are detailed below.



  Recipe Header

Enter the Recipe "Header" information in this area. This includes the following information:

• Name of Recipe
• Preptime of Recipe
• Base servings per Recipe
• Filename for photograph
• Recipe Type
  • Appetizer
  • Breakfast/Brunch
  • Beverage
  • Dinner
  • Desert
  • Other
  • Sauce/Dip
  • Salad
  • Soup
• Friendly For:
  • Flag is suitable for Vegan or Vegetarian diets
• Must make whole recipe
  • Tick this if the recipe can only be made in whole quantities. For example you can make 1, 2 or 3 pies, but you can't bake half a pie. This is used when the program multiplies ingredients for different servings quantities.

  Ingredient Listing

Enter each of the ingredients for the recipe in this part here after you have filled in and created the "Header". You will be entering the quantity and the unit of measure for the recipe. The Ingredient must already exist in your program before you can use it in a recipe. If it isn't set up, you can add an Ingredient to your program by using the "Ingredients" page.

Enter the recipe preparation directions in this area of the screen and remember to "save" when you are finished.
